TeBe company was founded in 1917. And to be honest, their approach has not changed much since then. Now in the third genertion of family ownership, they still hold firm to distinguished hand craftsmanship such as can hardly be found elsewhere today. They allow themselves the luxury of having leather produced exclusively for TeBe and selecting from this only the best for their products. Because they want the beautiful things that capture your heart to be with you for a lifetime. So you can pass the thoughts, images or recollections that are important to you down to generations to come.

Tradition

Things were not necessarily better in the past, but they were better made. At Treuleben & Bischof, traditional craftsmanship is still alive in a way that can hardly be found elsewhere today. Where else is the leather stilll tanned by hand, the colour applied painstakingly by hand? The TeBe brand not only stands for perfection and hand craftsmanship – it also symbolizes constancy in an ever changing world.

What a difference

They are found on some of the most important desks in the world. And this is how they got there:

The leather: They use only exclusive Italian leather. The leather comes from Santa Croce near Florence, the centre of the Italian tanning craftsmanship.

The paper: For their planners, they use a fine chamois-coloured stationary made especially for their company with a luxurious, satiny surface. They even use handmade paper for some of their products, such as their guest books.

Hand craftsmanship: Their covers are manufactured entirely by hand. While a cover can be made in about 5 seconds on a machine, they spend 15 minutes to create details such as the more elegant and durable rounded corners, which cannot be produced by a machine. The ribs on the spine are also a special quality feature of their products. They lend their articles the timeless, classic look of the TeBe brand.

The binding: Their thread binding is the highest-quality block binding process available.

The bookmark: An attractive headband helps to keep one’s place.

The gold and silver edging: The calendar blocks of their luxury editions receive gold or silver edging on three sides, applied by hand.
